Kate is a multidisciplinary artist, working in jewelry, textiles, ceramics, video and installation. Her work is often minimalist, focusing on form, colour and the interplay of contrasts. Her practice is inspired by the ephemeral, the metaphysical, the symbolic, and the relationship between art, ritual and culture. 
Kate shares her love of art through private lessons and workshops.

Trained as an educator, she has taught art while maintaining a studio for 40 years.   Christene rarely knows where a painting will take her but she hopes each conversation between mind and materials turns into images that will challenge or intrigue.

After studying Early Childhood Development and living and working across Canada, Jen settled back in Truro to start a family.

Rebecca is an illustrator and graphic designer.

After finishing a degree in Graphic Design & Illustration from Northumbria University, England, she emigrated to Nova Scotia. She started out illustrating children's books then worked as an in-house graphic artist for a few years.

A native of Truro NS, Katie enjoys giving back to her community through her love of art after living abroad for over a decade.

Offering workshops locally and working with not-for-profit organizations gives her the opportunity to inspire others through the vibrancy and healing power of the art process.


Megan Johnson

Megan Johnson

Megan is a native of Truro and after living away for over a decade, has returned home and joined the local arts community.

After finishing studies in science and medicine, Megan went back to her creative roots and began the muse by mej brand in 2018.

Focused on painting and illustration, Megan also dabbles in textiles, graphic design, and more, all inspired by her interests in nature, science, culture, literature and mysticism.
